Código Azul foi criada em Novembro de 2002 para responder à imediata necessidade de dar continuidade e suporte a importantes projetos em desenvolvimento na Aviação Civil Portuguesa, assim como acompanhar a atividade de promoção e comercialização dos sistemas de radares do Controlo de Tráfego Aéreo em Portugal.
Neste âmbito, e com o apoio direto da Código Azul, foram desenvolvidos importantes projetos como o fornecimento de um radar no programa de modernização do parque aeronáutico de Portugal
Nos últimos anos, a Código Azul alargou a sua atividade ao sector da segurança e defesa, suportada por importantes parcerias tecnológicas.
Outra área de negócio que a Código Azul desenvolve com algum destaque corresponde a atividades de Consultoria Técnica nos domínios de sua competência, sejam de segurança, aeronáutica ou telecomunicações, bem como no Planeamento, Elaboração e Gestão de Projetos e de Engenharia de Sistemas. 
A base desta atividade resulta de muitos anos de experiência em exercício nestas áreas tecnológicas, suportada por continuado estudo e formação.
